French Dip Sandwich
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Microwaving Time: 5-7 minutes
2 6″ sub sandwich loaves
1/2 pound sliced roast beef (from your deli counter)
4 slices swiss cheese
1/4 cup sliced yellow onion
1 packet au ju seasoning (check spice aisle at your grocer)
2 cups water
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
First prepare the au ju dipping sauce. Add 2 cups water, au ju seasoning packet and worcestershire sauce to microwave safe bowl, stir together. Microwave on high for approximately 5 minutes until sauce comes to a boil. Remove from microwave and whisk for 2-3 minutes until seasoning packet and water are well-combined. Reheat for 2 minutes, set aside and cover to keep warm.
Cut sandwich loaves in half. Top each sandwich with half of the roast beef (1/4 pound per sub), onion slices, and 2 slices of swiss cheese. Microwave each sub on high for about 1 minute until meat is hot and cheese is melted. Cut sandwich in half. Serve each sub with a bowl of au ju sauce for dipping.
